1. Who operates MERITIQA
MERITIQA is a trading name used by RIDE-SKIN LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16520100. Our registered office is 6 Ivy Crescent, Chiswick, London W4 5NG, United Kingdom.
In these terms, “MERITIQA”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean RIDE-SKIN LIMITED when providing the MERITIQA service. “You” and “your” mean the person registering for, using or purchasing the service. Contact our support team at sales@ride-skin.com.
2. What the service provides
MERITIQA is a digital platform for career learning, professional knowledge development and interview preparation. Content and tools may include occupational and industry reference material, structured learning topics, personal study information, and preparation or practice features.
Your paid entitlement is defined by the description of MERITIQA Professional shown to you at checkout. Website articles, previews, roadmaps, prototype demonstrations and announcements do not, by themselves, mean that an unreleased feature is included in the plan. Features may depend on the information you choose to provide and on the availability of the relevant functionality.
MERITIQA provides preparation and informational tools. It is not an employment agency, recruiter, university, qualification-awarding body or professional regulator. A subscription does not guarantee an interview, promotion, job offer, qualification or career outcome.
3. Account registration and acceptable use
You are responsible for providing accurate account and billing information, safeguarding your login credentials, and promptly telling us about suspected unauthorised access. Your membership is intended for your own use unless the purchased plan expressly permits wider access.
Please do not upload content you do not have the right to use, attempt to circumvent access restrictions, interfere with the site’s operation, use the service for unlawful or harmful activity, or reproduce and redistribute substantial parts of our paid materials without permission.
You remain responsible for reviewing any personal information, CV material or other documents you choose to supply to the platform.
4. Price and payment
The advertised price for MERITIQA Professional is £99 for a twelve-month subscription. Before you place an order, the checkout should show the total amount payable, the currency, the billing period and any applicable taxes. The amount you authorise on the checkout screen is the amount charged for that purchase. If the total does not match what you expected, do not complete payment; contact us first.
Subscription payments are handled through Stripe’s payment services. We do not require you to send payment-card details to our support email. Payment authorisation or completion does not, by itself, prove that every feature has been activated; contact us if your paid access has not appeared after a successful charge.
5. Annual renewal
MERITIQA Professional is an automatically renewing annual subscription. Unless you cancel in advance of renewal, your payment method may be charged for another twelve-month period at the price disclosed to you in accordance with applicable law. You can view your billing information and manage cancellation through the billing management route made available to you.
We will give any legally required information or notice about renewal or a change in subscription price. A price increase will not be applied without the notice or agreement required by law. Where a change materially affects your contractual rights, you may have additional cancellation or refund rights.
6. How to cancel your subscription
You can request cancellation at any time:
- Use the Manage Billing or subscription-management link presented in your MERITIQA account or billing communications, and follow the cancellation instructions in the Stripe Customer Portal; or
- Email sales@ride-skin.com from the email address associated with your subscription, stating that you wish to cancel MERITIQA Professional.
For an ordinary cancellation outside a statutory cooling-off or other immediate cancellation right, cancellation stops future renewal and your paid access is scheduled to continue until the end of the current billing period. No new annual charge should be made after your cancellation has taken effect. If you have difficulty with the portal, contact us rather than purchasing another subscription.
Cancellation of renewal and cancellation with a statutory refund are not the same thing. If you are exercising a legal cancellation right, please say so. We will assess it under the law applicable to your contract rather than simply treating it as an end-of-period renewal cancellation.
7. Cooling-off rights and refunds
If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days after entering into the contract. Exactly how that right applies can depend on whether the relevant supply is legally classed as a service, digital content or a combination, whether supply has begun, and which legally required requests, consents, acknowledgements and confirmations have been obtained. Merely accessing your account does not automatically remove a statutory right.
To exercise a cooling-off right, send a clear cancellation request to sales@ride-skin.com before the applicable deadline, including the email address on the subscription and, if available, your payment date. You do not have to use any special wording. We will handle any required refund in accordance with applicable consumer law and the original payment arrangements.
Outside a statutory cancellation right, our standard subscription settings provide for cancellation of future renewal rather than an automatic pro-rata refund of the unused part of an annual term. This does not limit refunds or other remedies required where services are not supplied as agreed, are faulty, or where we are otherwise legally obliged to provide a remedy. If you believe a payment was taken in error or have a problem with access, please contact support.
Consumers living outside the UK may have additional mandatory rights under the laws applicable to them; nothing in these terms overrides those rights.
8. Digital content, AI-assisted features and accuracy
MERITIQA materials and any generated guidance are for learning and preparation, not an authoritative assessment of your professional competence. Occupational descriptions, practice questions, interview suggestions and AI-assisted responses may be incomplete, context-dependent or occasionally incorrect. Verify important details independently, especially legal, regulatory, medical, financial, technical or employer-specific matters.
Where a feature accepts personal or professional material, only provide information you are permitted to share. Do not upload confidential employer or third-party data without appropriate permission. How personal data is processed is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Your content and our intellectual property
You retain the rights you hold in documents, career information and other original material you provide. You give us permission to process that material only as needed to provide the requested service, operate your account, maintain security and fulfil the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful retention obligations.
The MERITIQA name, site design, platform software and original educational materials are owned by us or used under licence. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the available service for your own learning during your subscription. It does not transfer ownership of the platform or underlying content.
10. Service availability and changes
Online services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, security work, faults or circumstances outside reasonable control. We may make proportionate changes to improve reliability, security, accessibility or functionality. We will not use this clause to deprive you of a material paid benefit without the remedy or notice required by law.
We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, misuse or security incidents, and will act proportionately. If we stop providing the service, your applicable rights to an appropriate remedy remain intact.
11. Liability and consumer protection
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory statutory consumer rights.
We do not promise any particular career or recruitment outcome. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for decisions that you or a third party make based solely on educational or automated suggestions without appropriate independent assessment.
12. Questions, complaints and contact
If your subscription, billing, cancellation or access is not working as expected, email sales@ride-skin.com with your account email, the issue and any non-sensitive payment reference. Please do not email full payment-card numbers, passwords or API credentials.
Company correspondence may also be sent to: RIDE-SKIN LIMITED, 6 Ivy Crescent, Chiswick, London W4 5NG, United Kingdom.
13. Applicable law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any overriding consumer protections that apply where you habitually reside. If we revise these terms, we will update the version date and provide any notice required for changes affecting existing subscriptions. The terms that applied when you placed your order remain relevant to the rights and obligations arising from that purchase.
